put away in a garage for the winter. winters do a number on cars. i would rather keep it away for the winter. i couldnt imagine a crx being very good in the snow anyways.

Garage kept. Too much salt for a 99.99 percent rust free crx. I am now rockin the scooby-ruu legacy till the streets are swept.

My ruu has some rust on it and I apply I nice coat of Bel-Ray waterproof grease on those spots year round. They haven't gotten worse since I have been given the car and started doing that. I also wash it weekly to keep salt off of it as best as I can. Some say this is worse because the water freezes and expands joints, but mine goes in a garage that I heat for a few hours afterwards until dry on the days its washed, otherwise sits outside. Good tires and full resevoir of monkey ****, and winter wiper blades gets me around fine.

Now for the garage keeping technique
1. Flush antifreeze
2. put on jack stands to avoid flat spots on tires and allows suspension to relax
3.very heavy coat of wax left on until spring where it is completely stripped and detailed. (i use my garage with grinders, dust, etc and dont want metal dust on paint
4. Shoot all cats that may walk on car
5. Open box of baking soda to soak up smell and moisture
6. Shampoo carpet and seats and have nice and clean to make it "that" much better in the spring for the first drive
7. Brake fluid flush
8. Admire and talk to often

4 Winter Tires, 5w30 Syn, Block Heater, New 1 piece rain-x windsheild wipers, -40c wiper fluid/de-icer, gasline antifreeze, optima redtop battery inside the car, general tune up (cap, rotor, plugs) Ive found spark and other problems will be amplified in extreme conditions. Extra gloves, hats, coats etc. Jumper cables on hand. Spare full size tire.

Thats what I got going on...

Last year, I drove my Crx with a friend from Alberta Canada to Houston Tx, non stop, in December. It was basically blizzards and ice the whole way till about Amarillo.

because that will do nothing for you in the winter^^^. Actually, some say to remove coolant containing it, even though I run it in all my vehicles and swear by it. Not an antifreeze at all. What is your basis acmoc?

oh wait. Not really sure. says it prevents corrosion, but your motor will run cooler, don't know if that's bad for winter

yes I understand the preventative measures and cooler running, but there is something about it that does some type of freeze up thing. I think only in very very cold weather which I never see in Pennsylvania. Other than the anti corrosive properties, not much benefit for driving in cold, but during the summer, it helps immensley in all my cars and even our diesel rig.
