okay thanks...so basically no chance in getting new oem hid headlights right now! because i needed these within a week or so.

Next question is, since i cannot get any new hid headlights, should i buy the new non hid and get a hid kit? this set up will run me close to 1k. or should i retro fit my existing non oem hid headlights? only drawback is my current headights are old, they would need to be wet sanded, buffed, and resealed also...this process would cost me around 700 from customlightz. Anyone have any advice?

dude save it for the HID headlights. The cut-off is super crisp. and the quality of the output is so smooth and evenly distributed.

My friend has a 96 spec itr aswell and his non hid headlights w/ hid(mcculloch) and the output of the projectors/cutoff doesn't compare to the oem hid (headlights) ones.
only downside is buses, semi's and numurous cars/trucks seam to high-beam you-haha

Agreed, I had the non-hid front lights with an HID kit, then I upgrades, and I wish I would have sooner. Do they have to be brand new? You should be able to find decent sets in the marketplace or ebay.

Def. But umm make sure your abs clears. The oem hid headlights doesn't clear with certain year itr's/dc2's (from what I've heard) my HTR didn't offer the abs/srs package. If you find who sells them brand new please letme know. Trying to restore my R. Thanks

The HID kit will not fit properly on the 94-97 GS LS RS GSR excluding Type R ABS system.

Good luck finding a set, what's wrong with buying a decent used set and wet sanding it yourself?

The OEM HID headlights are not a kit and they will fit on a 94 GSR. I've installed them on a 94 GSR. It is a tighter fit than on a ITR but they still fit.
