I have a question about head switching. If it is possible what heads are good and what heads can I put on a z6 block? What is required to do this? Any help would be great.

 

any d series will work just depends if you can is wiried for vtec or not and if the head is obd2 or obd1 but you can make any d series head work the most common with the z6 block is the y8 head for boosting.

 

By switching the heads what internals need to be switched out? Is there anything else like run a b and d series mix or something like that?

 

the flow pattern is not the same for the b series head you need to stick with a d series just go with a y8 off of a ek and youll be happy.

 

Where do I find the info on how to do this conversion? Cause I have a y8 engine that was given to me when I bought the civic I have. The block is no good but the guy told me the head was good. So what info do I need on how to change the head?
