Default Exchangeable Parts from Eg - Ej?

Im starting to get frustrated with this whole thing, Nothing seems to be transferable from my Eg to my Ej8..

Yesterday It was the steering wheel hub, And Today it was the lower tie bar. Im affraid to try to put my B in this car.

So any ways, What would transfer over from the Eg to the Ej?

-struts (you will need to use washers for shims in the back though as the EGs have wider strut fork)
-rear trailing arms
-Front knuckles (I think)
-Transmission (if its a manual)

-Rear LCAs are not interchangeable EK/EJ versions are longer

So because the rlca are different from the Eg is the reason why the rlca Tie bar wouldnt fit?

I have a B16 in my Eg and soon want to put it into my Ej8, Would the B series mounts for the Eg work in the Ej8?

Would the Front Top strut brace from an Eg work on the Ej8 also?

Also just so Im clear on this, Its a 1998 Civic Ex (Ej8)

Probably, but thats just a guess, I really don't play around much with suspension

No, you need to reuse the original civic drivers side timing belt mount and a '99 - '00 civic Si post mount. You need a rear T-bracket from a '99 - '00 civic, no other civic or integra bracket will work. For the upper transmission mount and bracket simply reuse the d-series civic mount. reuse the D-series rubber torque mounts with the B-series A/C and transmission brackets.

I suspect it will, but again I hardly ever play with suspension, especially on EKs.

The Rear T bracket its alread from a 99 Si, And other then that I reuse all the D series mounts? Sorry for continuesly asking Im just trying to make sure Im doing this right before I get into it.

Yea the front strut bar will work. The wheels would work. The front seats will work if you swap the inside rail or something

I already swapped my seats and wheels and suspension. I was hoping to get the rear lower tie bar on today but the tie bar was to long to work And the spline count on the steer shaft is different from Ej8's To Eg.

It shouldn't be. When you swap a B-series into a 5th gen civic you use a Integra or Del Sol Vtec T bracket, its longer than the '99 - '00 civic Si T bracket.

Rubber mounts yes, but metal brackets no. Upper transmission bracket can be reused, other than that reuse the B-series lower transmission bracket (the one that connects the front of the transmission the lower torque mount) and the A/C bracket from your current B-series setup. for the timing belt side use a '99 - '00 Si dual post bracket in conjuction with the original D-series rubber mount.

Edited cause I was half asleep when I posted

you need to do your research. just because it's Honda does not mean it will bolt up. If im correct EJ8 = 96-98 civic, but if you want to get technical then 99-00 civic is EM1 even though everything just might be interchangeable like seats, clusters, whatever...

EG6, EG4 (HATCH) and EJ1 (COUPE) as well as EG9 (SEDAN) whatever. It will work 99.9% of the time. Look up Honda parts online.

Here is a link if you ever curious.

^ 99-00 Si is EM1. The non-Si models are not EM1's
