did you use a palm sander, or did you do it all by hand , its hard to get around the spokes. i dont have a palm sander im thinking of buying one you think it will speed up the process

I did it all by hand . 220&scotchbrite pads,400,600,800,1500,2000.. then a compound on a 1/4 grinder with cotton/wool pads... put some shampoo/conditioner in your water it will help it cut a little better and your hands wont get so pruned

I did a set of these about 2 and a half years ago. Hardest part was just before where the spokes and lip meet. It was next to impossible to get that part.

If I can find some old pics, I'll post em up.

so does the green scotchbrite pads really speed up the early process? I plan on doing that this week, especially if i can find wheels to roll around on.

i polshed a set of GSR blades about 2 years ago. I started with 220, then went to 280, 320, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200, 1500, and then 2000 and then i used a buffer wheel on a die cutter (the little polishing wheel) because i was in a rush and i wanted them on the car and the hnd polishing was taking forever. The rimms looked like chrome after i polished them withthe weheel.. and then a quick once over by hand. CLEAR coat will fog up... Just wax the wheels with NVR dull .. I actually used a compound from my shops body shop to brighten the metal. Good luck and looks good so far!
