I can custom make one for just about any ecu, using YOUR picture! So you can rock your ecu with a pic of your car, your engine, your girlfriends face, anything! The picture is laser engraved, so it's permanantly embedded into the acrylic.

All I need is your ecu lid, so I can make a templete and your high res digital file. Then I'll send back your new lid along with your stock one.

Thanks man. I actually made this for SEMA, just to show what a laser can do.

The acrylic carries light really well, especially with LED's.

What I want to do is install a few LED inside the ECU and wire them up. That way, the image will glow.

When I get some free time, I'll make a protoype using this ecu and see what it looks like.

 

We are both on the same page. This is what i intended on doing, lol. I dont it once with a clear cover on a ecu and put blue led in it. Then I modded the kick pannel cover to have a opening to show it off. Looked great at night.

I sell the laser engraving machines at my job. They're mostly used for engraving names on trophy's - but these machines are capable of so much more.

ecu personalization will come in handy... so if theives ever jack you... you can kill em if you ever catch them slippen trying to sell your ecu lol

 

Actually yes but not the way you think.

This is only for the lid, so of course thieves can just remove/replace it.

BUT, I do have a different laser that can mark on metal, permanantly. So you can mark a serial number, your initials, whatever into the metal really small on a spot that only you would know.

I can mark on coilovers, ecu, engine, strut bar - anything metal.

I havent fully thought out the application - but the potential for this is there.
