Default D16Y8 intake manifold on D16Y7 motor?

Hey guys, I was wondering if an intake manifold for a D16Y8 will fit on my D16Y7?
The manifold came off a 2000 civic ex, and I have a 2000 civic dx.

If its off an automatic EX then it will be 100% plug and play. If its off a manual EX you will need to reuse your Y7 throttlebody and block off the IACV on the back of the Y8 IM.

It is NOT 100% plug and play. There is a nipple (shhh) at the "exhaust" side of the intake mani that either needs to be plugged (with something substantial) or have the holes on the manifold-to-head face plugged that lead to it. Other than that you may want to buy the EX model's throttle cable.

Just did this about a month ago and everything is fine it should fit right in if you use an auto D16y8 intake mani onto a manual d16y7. you can keep your y7 fuel rail or use the y8 but use the same y7 fuel injectors because if you use the y8 you'll be running to rich

link that help out a lot. has tons of pictures and very useful step by step
