Icon3 Mugen MR5's

Hey i was just wondering if I'm getting a good deal. A guy is trying to sell me a set of 4 official 2-piece 15" MR5's. All of the lug covers and the lock key are included. They are painted passionate purple(not the lip or outside. One is bent a little on the inside from a pothole and they have very low mileage Falken tires. He wants $650 for them. It would be a local pickup so im not worried about scams. Is it worth buying them? Should i strip the Purple and paint the centers silver?

heres the enclosed image:

I sent him a message to maybe get a better pic and more info.
Thanks in advance HT!

I think the color might bring the value down a bit, but the fact that he has the lug covers definitely brings the value up. So ultimately, it depends on how much you expect to spend on fixing the bend and potentially painting them back to a stock color--if you want to sell them for more.

And to answer your question, I say it's an OK deal. But, not great.

I found out that they are passionate purple powder coated so its not just a spray on. Also, they were on a MK2 Jetta sedan, haha. but yea i might go look at them to see how good they look in person. he says they're a 9/10 cond. but the purple would have to go

thanks for the info tho wakaranai!

How bad is the bend? I still say that the powder coat doesn't really help with the value of the wheels. But, that may vary from person to person.

EDIT: Oh, I missed the fact that they had new tires on them. In that case, its a pretty good deal. I say go for it. I had a set in near perfect condition with very nice tires and I could not get rid of them for $700. I ended up trading for another set of wheels, plus $200.

I got a guy who could fix the bend really cheap and he said it was a minor bend so if its not bad i might just leave it. I might offer $600 if they look nice in person and def put them back to stock silver or maybe even polish them. They're 2-piece so it should be that hard to strip and refinish.

HAHA i still can't believe he had them on a Vdub
