Tire sizes for 17x8 on 5th gen
i plan on running 17x8 with a 43-48 offset on my 5th gen. it's lowered somewhere between 1.7-2.3 inches. I'm wondering what tire sizes would be safe to roll on. I found a good deal on these 17x8, so don't tell me "get 17x7"
the current tires on the rim are 205/40/17's also..a lot of narrower and thinner than stock, should i worry about rubbing with these?
also anyone on SSR competitions or type c's that have pictures?

like i said above, i have no control over what size rims/tires are right now until i get more money. so that doesn't help solve my question, thank you.
On the falken site it says 8 inch rims are safe to have with these tires.

I guess you missed the part where I said 215s or maybe that just doesn't help you for some odd reason. Try this:
http://www.bigcustomwheels.com/rt_specs.jsp
205/50R16 is stock 24.1" overall diameter. Try to get as close to that as possible.

yes i know that changing tire sizes can change things. but right now i want to know if 205/40/17's would be safe running on 17x8 rims on a 5th gen. i'm mainly worried about rubbing and safety.
I'm not looking to change my tires anytime soon because I don't have the money yet.
