Default Important news for those wanting to buy an intake

I was recently informed earlier this week about this and i want to share with you fellow 8th gen owners.

Well as some of you, actually most of you dont know. companies that manufacture intake systems will be raising prices for the non-polished finishes. an example i will make will be injen, i ordered the wrinkle black finish short ram and i was informed that i ordered it just in time as companies are starting to raise prices for non-polish finishes and the colored finishes will possibly be placed under the special order category, which means more waiting time to get your product. the price difference can range from 10-15 extra dollars depending on the color. so if you plan on ordering an intake in a finish other than chrome, or polish, i suggest you go an order one now before the price hikes take place. i was told the reason for this is because of the economy, as most people know tein raised their prices due to the economy as well.

well just wanted to let you guys know. feel free to say whatever it is you like.

$10-$15 is not a big deal. If it were $75-$100, that'd be a different story.

Thanks OP...$15 for a color change on an easily scratched intake isn't a joke to me.

I think it is an ex/lx. Look at the color of the interior. They dropped in a k20 i guess.

So when you purchase the pw power chamber you'd probably need to relocate the battery and ecu? Would you need new brackets/harness to do that?

Because they are trying to save their business. People are not spending like they were and the banks are not handing out credit like they use too. Companies still need to pay their suppliers and cover their debt. If they are not selling as much product then they need to sell it for a higher price.

We went from a strong economy to weak economy also overnight. Companies business plans did not project (could not project) such a collapse in the banking sector. I expect we will see alot of small to middle size companies go bankrupt over the next year or so.

Inflation in a poor economy is not exactly a bad thing (except for the consumer). Believe it or not, deflation in a bad economy is worse than inflation.

yes they sell relocation kits for their other k-series power chamber and I believe they intend on doing the same with our cars if and when they ever release the intake (which they have been advertising for almost a year now...)

Password:JDM is not going away! If you want that CF intake it is just a matter of calling and asking to have it produced.
