Default HELP wobbly pullies

ok we just did the headgasket, timing and balancer shaft belts, and waterpump in my 99 accord with the F23A1 engine. we actually took a couple large cunks out of the stock main pulley with a chain wrench trying to get the big nut loose (we couldnt get ahold of the honda pulley tool)

anyway. we got everything figured out and done. when we started it up, we noticed the main pulley had a wobble to it. we also tried on the unorthodox pulley that i bought do to the damage on the stock one. the UR main pulley has the same wobble.

so we took off the timing cover, put the main pulley back on, and started it back up.
not only is the main pulley wobbling, but the balancer shaft pulley wobbles as well. but the timing belt pulley does not wobble. so theres 3 pullies sandwiched together, tha back one (timing) is not wobbling, but the 2 outter pullies are wobbling (balancer and main)

also, the woodruf key keeps trying to come out everytime we pull they main pulley off. it already came out once, and we had to turn the cam to match it back up to the crank...

we tried taking the balancer shaft pulley off and checking it out, and we tried hitting it in with a mallot... the wobbling hasnt gotten better, maybe a little worse.

any suggestions?

besides the pulley wobble, the engine seems to be running fine. idles and revs good. although i didnt rev it too high in fear of wobble...

also, how does lining up the balancer shafts work? are they supposed to match up to their marks every other time the engines at TDC?

some help please? any suggestions? we were thinking maybe the wobbling could be do to a bit of surface rust on the balancer pulley?

or maybe the balancer pulley is warped? we dont know

That depends on what you are calling TDC, there is only one real TDC for most cases, TDC on the compression stroke but then there is TDC exhaust stroke, this is not normally referred to.

It sounds like you need a new balencer shaft pulley and a replacement main (harmonic balencer) pulley. It is possible for the key to want to come out but it should not be sloppy while in the keyway of the crank shaft or the main pulley.

Pulley design is made to match belt design, or is it the other way around. The Belt cog teeth are rounded or square or a combo of both, the belt is this way due to the design of the pullies, I would only buy one from the dealer and not trust that an aftermarket pulley is from China where they do not car what style it is. I doubt that an aftermarket company makes that part anyways, you may be the first person I ever heard have this problem.

These are considered "Dealer Only" Items. There is insufficient call for an aftermarket sourse for these. Accessories drive pulleys yes (AEM, Etc) but the ones your needing - no.
