Default Do I need this? if so how do i get rid of it?

I'm trying to clean up my engine bay and i found this vacuum reservoir. does this thing only need to be installed if i have cruise control? I have already removed my cruise and dont want it cluttering my engine bay.

can i just cap off the incoming vacuum line?

will it affect anything else, idle etc...

is the electrical connector just for a purge solenoid?

you dont need it. its the one that goes to the intake right? there is another box that looks like that under the im too that u dont really need either. but if its the intake one on the left side then no u dont UNLESS u have a stock intake.

That one goes with the resonator box on the intake, and it looks like it's been broken off, so you don't need it . Just remove the box and cap the nipple on the manifold. The one under the manifold you do need. Removing it can help your midrange, but hurts your bottom end power and your milage

You shouldnt throw a code, it just controlls the butterfly plate in your intake manifold. It opens the plates at a certain rpm for better top end and stays closed at lower rpm for a longer runner and more tork. Longer IM Runners= better low end/Short IM Runners= Better top end
