well, i'm planning into install my jdm header and my carsound cat this sunday. But i haven't gotten my header bracket yet. Should I just resist the temptation and wait 2 weeks until i get my bracket or just give a crap and just install it..is it well worth the time to wait for the bracket?

I don't know how much heavier the OEM JDM 4-1 header is, but if you look at Spoon headers they don't have a mounting plate for a bracket.

JDM header bracket gets you 5 points at the car show
but not needed. your exhaust should hold it up fine

 

No need for the bracket. I have had my header on for 12k without it. No problems here.

 

...I'm sure Honda put it on there to win car shows... Kids these days...

Might have been a design feature with the life of the car in mind... but then again, what would I know, I only worked with titanium and inconel fatigue at Rohr...

ps for those who don't know what inconel is... http://www.espi-metals.com/msds.htm scroll down and look it up... turbo groupies might find it interesting to compare the boiling and melting points of titanium and inconel... the latter was the **** in my day... not anymore...
