thats a straight up custom job but i would do it somthing like this:

get a donar cluster and take it apart...im sure you can find the 3 or so wires that go to the tach, just rewire them into a new one of the right size and epoxy that bitch in there.

As freakasis said, this is a custom job done, just find you a cluster that has a stock tach in it take it apart, put the aftermarket tach in that is the same size and wire the wires in for it.

i thought the same but how would i do that with out taking to back of the cluster off meaning the board/were all the plugs and electrical goes for the other stuff.or is it that the tach it self is really narrow or isnt really deep.

take the front bezel/cover off. there are small bolts ran through the flexable pc board on the back of the cluster. remove these and the gauges will come right out. then you can use abs plastic or whatever the hell you like and make a ring out of just like the carbon ring in your picture.you will have to be creative and mount the ring in your cluster and then mount your new tach in it. then solder the wires from the tach to the correct locations on the back of the pc board for its switched power, ground, illumination, and tach signal. also when choosing a tach you will need to find one that will work within the mounting depth that the cluster cavity provides. if not you will run into problems with your pc board being in the way, and you pretty much need it for the rest of the gauges to work.

you dont have to take the circuits off the back, everything is installed from the front.

This looks very clean. But unless the OEM tachometer was broken, I see no reason to alter an EM1 cluster.

OEM > aftermarket
