Default DC4 Coilovers: Koni Yellow w/ Ground Controls Sleeves or other?

I was wondering if the Koni Yellow w/ Ground Controls sleeves was the best route for the DC4 or is there a better full coilover that you guys recommend?

FYI: The coilovers aren't for slamming the car. The car will be used for auto-x and road racing. Performance handling in mind

Thank you!

Get the track kit. To answer the rest of your question. Yes there are a ton of better coilovers. Try Pic select coilovers, Tein Flex or higher. Do some research. In the end it is going to be up to you.

koni yellows/GC, are probably the best choice for the price, and a lot of autox guys run this set up.

ditto, Koni/GC = best bang for buck when performance is top priority.

Why would you spend the extra money on something like Tein Flex when GC/Koni's give you the same features for much better value?

They are JDM? So you can sport the TEIN doll on your tow hook?

the only reason i can see going the Flex route is that they are cheaper then the higher end Koni's with almost the same performance.

edit* but even then you can get the skunk2's for even cheaper, and have heard that they are better then the flex.

Your such a retard.

GC/Koni is a good combination. But if you pick up a basic set, they aint **** and will just be a smooth lowered ride and will cost you 800bucks. Just for a set of custom dampers you looking at 800 and up.

You need something that you can preload and change springs for higher spring rates. And a good set of dampers. You need something you can daily and track. Running any Pic coilovers or Higher end teins will allow you to run different setups for street/track and they come with more adjustablity than a basic koni.

On my buddys Type R we ran several koni shock with custom valving and in the end what worked the best was a set of Tein Race coilovers.

In the end. Its up to you. Thats just my 2cents

Its only a good value for a basic set. If you get custom rates and valving it will cost about the same. With less adjustability.

Thanks for the responses everyone. Which spring rates (front/back) would you recommend for street/autox?
