Default LS VTEC Oil Pumps

I'm about halfway into my LS VTEC Build and am about to put my oil pump in but a lot of build logs I see people using GSR oil pumps. My oil pump is from a b16. Will it still work?
Thanks

should be fine. i think gsr, b16 and type r should all be the same..as long the oil pump is off a dohc vtec motor...i have a type R on my ls vtec...

the gsr and type r have a higher output, and the teeth count is different. which means you will have to use a gsr timing belt.

pretty sure this isnt true^^. i have a b16 pump on my b20 right now so what does that tell us? all obd2 b series oil pumps are the same. now, a vtec water pump and a nonvtec water pump have a different tooth count so that that at high rpms a vtec pump will not slosh the coolant instead of actually circulating it.

You need to match the belt to the water pump - non-vtec water pump = non vtec belt and visa versa.

The teeth on the oil pump are the same for non vtec/vtec.
