Default Idle Surge and No Vtec

I did a search and could find any posts that related to my problem. I have a F22 that is having the common idle surge (1k-1.5k RPMs) I figured out that I can unplug a connector on the back of the intake manifold and the idle surge stops but that causes it to idle rough at around 500RPMs. It also cuts out at 5k RPMs so the VTEC never kicks in.

From what I can see there are 2 connectors on the back of the intake manifold, 1 is connected to the manifold itself and one is connected to what I believe is the throttle body and the one connected to the throttle body is the one that gets rid of the idle surge.

Any help would be appreciated

Your "Common" Idle surge might be the FITV needs adjusted, as far as the connector you are pulling off;

CAN YOU HOLD IT CLOSER TO THE MONITOR ? ? I CAN"T SEE IT! !

Do you have CEL or code stored in the ECU? That might explain the REV limit.
Exactly how have you determined the V-tec solenoid is not turning on?

You also have to determine three additional things:
Is it reaching the correct operating tempurature?
Is the coolant system completely devoid of air pockets AND
Is the Oil Pressure sufficient?

The engine gets to operating temp and the coolant system was just checked and flushed. I figured out the connector that gets rid of the surge is connected to the IACV and there is a code stored in the ECU (check engine light is on) which I am guessing is related to me unplugging the IACV. I dunno if the VTEC kicks in or not it starts bogging down at 5k-5.2k RPMs
