2003 Civic LX Factory Code Won't work
Just got a used 2003 civic lx. cd player worked fine. undid battery to replace timing belt. now have code problem, got s/n from radio as there were no stickers in glove box etc. got code from honda but even it doesn't work. clean title. any ideas? thanx
There's also another place you can try. There should be a sticker underneath the fuse box cover in the engine bay.
I'm thinking if the code Honda gave you doesn't work, you might have a stereo that wasn't originally in the car.

same thing happened to me, and i went to honda, and the code they gave me was only 4 digits, so i added an extra diget at the begining and the 4 the gave me, and after the 5 try it worked... dunno if this will help but goood luck...
thnx realazy but honda national matched the s/n to the vin on the car and everything is cool. checked under fuse panel too but to no avail but good news my daughter who i bought the car for entered the code again tonight just to see what would happen and it started working!!! go figure. i think honda has a way less than perfect stereo and an ill equipped response team to handle the problem otherwise a great car
