Icon2 Need help with a 98 si front lip

I have never put on a lip before, so I am quite the noob.

I assumed that there would be 4-6 holes to put some screws into. I guess I was wrong?

There were no holes on the lip, I had to drill them out myself where small indents indicated. Which I was told is not uncommon.

But I don't see any place to mount screws into on my front bumper, and the lip is sorta warped and seems like it would never fit flush. What do I use to fasten it on?

What am I doing!?

Help is much appreciated. Thanks.

You could post a pic up.. is it abs plastic, CF, OEM painted plastic?

From what you described it is a off brand "Ebay" type abs plastic front lip... Chances are you are just going to have to screw it to the underside and the sides/rear where is wraps around the bumper.

As to the warping; this is common for these types of lips, hopefully it wont be noticable when you bolt it up.

Best of luck.. PM me if you need help or pic assistence

if you had to drill holes onto the lip then it is not OEM.
all OEM parts fit perfectly without any modification needed cuz the car was built to add on the extra OEM parts

Well if you need to re-shape it slightly I heard using a heat gun can help bend it a little to make it fit. My lip stuck out quite a bit on the sides I just put 2 screws on each end.

Is it matte black and mounts under the front bumper? This is the SiR front lip.

Ha. I put it on before I even read this. It bolted on pretty well, has some small gaps. But the ends stuck out, so I just put 2 screws in as well.
