Is anyone logging trans fluid temps? just wondering.

 

on manual trannies?

i put a trans temp gauge on mine awhile back...the gauge sweeps from 100degrees to 280degrees...and it would only just barely get to the 100degrees...no matter how much i beat on it.

my conclusion.. fluid temp is not a problem at all on manual transmissions. nothing like automatics.

 

yeah on manual trannies. just curious, if anyone has noticed any differences between switching tranny fluids. is this during a run when it gets to 280? thank you for the info.

 

no no, that is what the gauge is capable of reading.

i can barely get it the trans fluid temp to 100 degrees where the gauge even starts reading..

no need to be worried about tranny temps at all.

 

High-stall automatic setups are what you really gotta watch the trans temp with
