for $100+ship thats not so bad. 2.5 in and 4 out. If I was building with a budget I would choose that setup too. But with a fart can I prefer an angled muffler.

HAWK: thats halarious ~ -intake, windshield washer lights, rear body kit, carbon fiber windows

Get this to go with it and it'll sound really good, and flow as well as any high dollar exhaust.

This is the setup I've been runing for over a year and a half with ZERO problems. No rusting, cracking, breaking, leaking, etc...

old setup brfore Vibrant muffler^^^

I say save your dollars and go with a better brand I think exhaust sound is on of the biggest things your car gets judged off of.. I settled with a skunk2 mega power universal muffler custom piping kinda big but deep for a 4 banger..

x2 on vibrant axleback

We should be trying to get a collection of exhaust setups with sound clips. It would make these posts unecessary. Most likely to be satisfied if you can hear it before hand.

Everything I've seen shows that the vibrant muffler is great for a cheap exhaust. Definately get that over the ebay exhaust.

not true...i have a completly full ebay exhaust(header all the way back wit a ebay testpipe) and does not sound one bit ricey at all sound good actually...not beligerantly loud just perfect(and trust me i had somebody drive it wen i put it on to make sure it didnt sound ricey)almost all exhausts come from a couple distributors from japan and they sell them to companys and pretty much all they do is slap there badge on it and sell it for 100% profit

That's fine, I just think the way it sounds with a vibrant muffler is 100x better. But then again its just me... With no cat... lol That's where the ricey tone comes from

I've been looking for a good alternative to spending $400+ for exhaust i looked at the ebay exhausts asked the questions got the same answers that are being said here and the best value for exhaust it to go to a reputable muffler shop and ask about custom 2.5" exhaust most places i talked to will do 2.5" with a magnaflow dual tip from $250-$300 it's all personal preference I also think that some of the ebay exhaust is a good value while some of it is crap it's a buyer beware market on ebay do your research

the problem with a muffler shop is they use crush bent piping instead of mandrel bends. The crush bent piping looses flowto the mandrel bends. Not a big deal for some, but for others it is.

+1. In my opinion if you are building a vehicle to actually "go" faster. You have to focus on all aspects of aspiration. Intake and Exhaust. Having cruch bent pipe just doesn't cut it unless the pipe diameter is so large that it cancels out the bends. Then you have no back pressure at all. Which some people don't need it (turbo). It all depends on the person, their wallet, and the actual results that they want.
