Default 00 Si tire size question

I need some input on tire sizing. I have a 00 Civic Si with stock wheels and stock tire sizes. I have the Eibach sportline kit so now my front tires rub my fender when I turn sharply or go up or down inclines. What tire sizing would eliminate the rubbing?

First of all, are you sure you have the stock tire size right now? It's 195/55-15. The reason I ask is, you should be able to use the stock tire size without rubbing, even if your car is lowered as much as 1.5 inches, maybe even 2 inches.

Even if you do have the stock tire size, though, you shouldn't use the wrong tire size to fix rubbing. That's trying to fix a problem by making a second mistake instead of correcting the original mistake.

If you already have the stock tire size and you're rubbing, then the proper way to prevent that is to change your suspension (settings or components) so that your car is not lowered quite as much.

idk if it would eliminate the rubbing but you could run 195/50R15. the sidewall is a little bit shorter but once again idk if this will eliminate your problem.

i run 195/50/15 on my 2000 si and my car is dumped on tein springs...never rubs and rides like ice skates

ive had this set up for 2 years and i live in new york...some of the crappiest roads the world has seen. no bends in the rims, tires are also still in awesome shape...i have kumho ecstas.

it could be your springs though. i had sportlines on my 93 cx and i rubbed...i forget if had 50 or 55s but they rubbed on turns. i think its your springs.

That size is too small for your car. They throw off your speedometer and odometer. And smaller tires don't help your handling.

Stick with 195/55-15 or 205/50-15.

What more information could be needed? Stock rims / stock tire size, new Eibach sportline springs + dampers + camber kit, all with less than 5k miles on the suspension. Rides fine in straight line and when turning slowly. When going up driveway at an angle the front tires rub the fender and fender molding. Or, if I turn sharply at speed the tires rub up front. Also with 2 passengers the rubbing of course increases.....
