alright im about to purchased some new tires for my baby lol since i already got a flat one haha. i got falken and it was really good, but im trying to save up some money since this is my daily drive to work what tires you guys recommend on performance wise and duration?? thank you.
For price and performance I would look into the following.
BFGoodrich G-Force Sports
Dunlop Direzza DZ101 (I have on my car and they are pretty good for the price)
Nitto Neogen
Avon Tech M500
Fuzion ZRi
General Exclaim UHP
Yokohama S.Drive
Falken Ziex ZE 912
From what I have seen those are all in the same price range/performance type of being a decent priced, pretty good life span, performance tire. I have been researching these tires for a while as I was in the market and I went with the Dunlops because I wanted a 205/55/15 for a good price that would last and still give me a nice weekend driver tire.
The Dunlops look really nice and perform better than the Bridgestone Potenza Re910s that I had on before. But the Bridgestones were an older tire too. I have yet to write a full review on the Dunlops as I have only had them a couple of weeks but so far I am happy.
If you want a cheap but really good tire and aren't concerned with life too much... Get the Falken Azenis RT-615. Hands down the best performing tire for the price in my opinion but don't expect to get much more than 15 to 20K miles out of them. If you are lucky. Everyone in my area that weekend tracks their cars or autocrosses them and wants a really good performing tire for usually under $100 a piece buys these.
What kind of driving do you want to do with these tires you are in the market for? What mods does your car have. Mine is just an EP3 with bolt ons and suspension and brake mods so the tires I am recommending (aside from the Azenis) are probably decent enough for my car but might not hold up on yours.

i got a rsx type s and my tires right now are falken 205/55/16/89v.... i go from home to work and the weekends go out lol, this tires are good but i just want something with good performance and that would last me more.
you realize he is from southern california right? we don't really get rain here. rains for maybe 5 days out of the year unless it's el nino.
i would go with the S. Drive from Yokohama. I was looking at tires for quite a while and have determined that was the best bang for my buck as well as being a nice grippy tire.
please know that you won't find a long lasting tire that will also grip well. that is the trade off. hard all season tires will last you a longer time, but will not be able to grip as well as softer, stickier summer tires.

Like I said. Any of those tires I listed are decent gripping tires but they will last you a decent amount of time too. They are listed as summer tires but they are probably closer to all season? I was going to get the Azenis but we are starting 6 months or so of Oregon rain so I don't wanna lose a good portion of my tread life in the rain. If anything I would get another set of Azenis and throw them on in the summer.
I've literally had all of those tires on numerous sets of wheels (except for the Avons which I hear are pretty good) and out of those I think it'd be between the Nitto's and the BFG's. The BFG's are an all-season tire but it sounds like it wouldn't really matter where you're from. The Nitto Neo-Gen's are good because they have a reinforced inner wall to help with camber wear on lowered cars, so that'd be good if you're lowered without a camber kit. Unless you're only choosing between those I know Tire-Rack.com has some good specials and they have ratings on all their tires. Personally, I like Eagle F-1's. They are an awesome tire.
First of all DonReggeaton what type of weather will these tires be used in and what are you looking for in a tires? The question you need to ask yourself is if you are willing to sacrifice performance for threadlife??? If you can answer me these 2 questions I can answer you with a better choice!
Im riding on yokohama parada spec 2 atm and they ride very nice. My last set I had toyo proxes and they were smooth as hellll. What I do is just run my wheels for a few months, then trade for wheels with better tread. Works perfect if your smart :p. Ive done this for a year now and spent nothing, and still have 100% tread haha
He already stated he wants something that will last long because it is a daily driving car. I listed all season and summer tire togethers because they all fit into the same class and are tested together. Tirerack has comparision tests between most of those tires on their site. I have heard good things about the Nitto Neogens because of the reinforced inner tread for camber.
Just because they do a comparison doesn't meen they should be put in the same category!
Summer tires will always be better then all season tires... also the Falken Ziex are horrible tires the Kumho Asx is a much better all season tire if he has to go all season...
Like I said to the OP answer the questions I asked above and I would be able to help you out a lot better!

OP--you need to give more detail on your questions. What's are you using them for, what's your weather like, how many miles is 'more miles', how much grip you want, etc.
Also remember that no one tire can do it all. You are going to have to compromise in one aspect or another.

Yeah. I have the DZ101 also and I am very happy with performance for the price. And although they rate a decent amount lower than other tires in similar price range in terms of wet performance I am still happy. I don't do any sporty spirited driving when it is wet outside anyway. And I can full throttle all the way to redline in the rain and not lose grip.
