Need help identifying electrical plug

Does anyone know how to disconnect this plug from the back of the block. Also, what is it for lol? I lost my Haynes manual

Oil pressure...sometimes the only way to get it off is to reach in with a pair of pliers and pull from as close to the base as possible. It may rip the rubber, but sometimes there is no other way. Good luck!
