Default replaced rear motor mound and....

it cost me 475 to replace the motor mount, parts and labor, which, my original quote was 700, so its all good there. Anways, i got the part back from the honda dealer, they always leave whatever they take out in your car, so i look at the mount, and i dont see anything wrong with it, this is the first time ive seen a motor mount, but, i was told it was fractured, from what i see it looks fine, no fractures or anything. Then, so i was driving home, and i noticed that my car still vibrates bad, and my car still jerks when i go from neutral to drive(auto). So i figure, 1)either the mount was broken, but i dont no **** about it and cant see it, 2)I was jipped and should report this **** to the dealer
3)The motor mount was fractured, but i have another problem.

Any input would be greatly appreciated, thank you

The metal structure of the mount usually doesnt break its the rubber that tears. Take a look at the rubber. If you break the metal bracket of the mount I have no idea how you would even do that without a shitload of HP and/or torque.

An EX auto would have the liquid-filled rear mount. It probably leaked so they replaced it. Your front mount is probably torn too. It's easy to see just look at the top of the front mount right by the exhaust heat sheild/header and see if the rubber's torn.

I think what you had replaced was the rear hydraulic mount, #4 here.
Check out the top of #15 for tears.

Front motor mount part #15 $66.47 order here.

I'd also suggest a front motor mount insert #16-1107 $19.95 order here.

Pretty easy install.

Ummm I think it's just that old cars and old motors vibrate. Especially old Honda automatics.
