Sub frame problem
Doing a clutch and flywheel in my car and had to pull the lower tie brace out to get the tranny out. While I was removing 1 of the bolts felt really loose and upon closer inspection I found the nut that is welded on inside the sub-frame is no longer welded. (circled red) Any ideas on how I could get the nut back on the bolt? I've tried postioning it with a magnet and tried threading the nut on the bolt with no luck. I'm wondering if perhaps I weld the bold head to the subframe and never take it out again. Last option, of course.
drill the hole out a little bit to fit what ever size nut is in the hole. then weld the nut to a washer bigger then the hole. weld the nut/washer to the sub frame and you should be golden! just a thought.
I just fixed my friends Integra that had this exact same problem. I drilled a hole big enough for my finger and held the nut in place while I screwed in the bolt. To get some torque I shoved a screwdriver up the hole to brace the nut while I torque down the bolt to specification. This fixed his problem. He brought his car into Greg's Japanese Automotive a few months ago for a front suspension noise, they failed to fix the problem but they did give him a nice fat bill for other stuff they claimed was bad. All in all, I fixed his problem in about twenty minutes and all it cost him was a few beers.

I would drill on the underside of the frame in line with the bolt so you can fit your finger straight up. On my friends Integra there was a factory hole already there which I made larger, I think you might have to make your own hole.
Nope, theres a hole there. I was using that hole to try and fish it around with the magnet, just making sure that was the best possible spot. Didn't want the subframe to end up like swiss chesse.
