engine vibration at stops

engine vibration at stops
My 06 ex 4dr. has a vibration at idle while at stops it has a auto trans. This all started when i changed the oil to mobil 1 full synthetic 5w-20. i have about 46k on the motor and the oil has been changed every 3-5k with mobil 1 since 10k was on the motor. just wondering if anyone has had this same problem?

around 850rpm.(@ normal operating temp.) if its cold it louder and when you put it in neutral it goes away, only when there is a load on the motor. car runns strong other than at stops.

honda did the mounts at around 36k still under warranty, the r18 takes 5w-20 from factory and it says it on the oil fill cap. as fas as HVAC it is not on at all no defrost or floor. it happens all the time no matter what they/I do.

I say whoever replaced your motor mounts didn't neutralize them when they installed them. That can cause a discernible vibration. Why it took 10k miles to notice it, I'm not sure, but it still remains a possibility.

component in an A/T-equipped car or truck?
Remember to neutralize the engine mounts and
the lower control arm bushings. Here’s why:
• Binding engine mounts can transmit engine,
power steering, A/C, and transmission noise
and vibration.
• Binding control arm bushings can shorten
bushing life, affect ride height, and cause
drifting or pulling complaints.
To neutralize these items, just follow the
appropriate procedure below:
• Engine mounts: Insert the main engine
mount bolts, finger-tight. Start the engine,
apply the brakes, and then shift back and forth
between Drive and Reverse several times. Shift
to Park, and shut off the engine. Torque the
main engine bolts to spec.
• Control arm bushings: Roll the vehicle onto
an alignment rack or place jack stands under
the lower control arms to support the vehicle’s
weight. Loosen the control arm pivot bolts,
then torque the bolts to spec. The intent here
is to clamp the bushing when the control arm
is positioned where it will spend most of its
life.

man thank you for that info I will try that myself I forgot about that whole thing. I haven't worked for honda for about 2 years so thank s for that info. I will post if that fixes it.

I had the same prob on my 01. Turned out I had dammaged a motor mount, which put additional stress on the other motor mounts, and slowly deteriorated them as well. As Fudgie said, give those a check

I have the same problem. I never made the connection of the vibrating started when I changed to synthetic oil!!!!!!!!!!!!
I changed, fixed and visually inspected all of my motor and trans. mounts.
The vibration is still there.
I put it in neutral and it goes away.
A mechanic and my son helped me see that the car when
it has a low RPM is when it vibrates.
I can't believe (but your and others' comments make sense)
that using synthetic in place of regular oil would do this.
Why would that be?
I thought if I could just up the RPM some (manually--- well
with my foot I can up RPM and it goes away.
When cold it does not do it since it has a higher RPM.
