Default H22 in a 94 ex

so i found this deal on a H22 engine, but before i went ahead with it i had some questions.

yes i know with time, money and modification anything will fit, but how much money and mods would this take to fit into my 94 ex coupe. im expecting axels engine mounts, but what else? harness exaust? what type of transmission would i need? im betting that my stock tranny wouldnt work so what type of tranny do i need?

thanks alot in advance

It's gonna be alot of work, Suspension and so on, I would suggest a B Swap. Prolly the easiest and WAY cheaper than a h22.

don't answer if you aren't sure

h22 in a civic is actually quite common - you can use an H transmission and shifter but great success using the H2B adapter plate to use the b series transmission - I haven't seen one yet but heard of one for a d series as well.

you do have to do a bit of banging to give the alternator clearance - but mounts, "custom" axles if using the h series tranny - I'd probably go ahead and pick up a prelude harness but modify yours to fit or work - never done the swap so not sure what sensors or anything needs to be changed. exhaust - any 2.25 or 2.5 will be fine -

it isn't the most common swap - and gives you a higher starting point than a b series for negligible cost difference.

Lol my point proven. I NEVER said you can't do it. All i said is it's easier to do a b swap. SO how i answered when i "Wasn't Sure" is kinda making me wonder. I was just answering from my experiances. But thank you for throwing that out there.

honestly - it is no harder than doing a b series in a crx or 88-91

suspension - meh not really I would do suspension and strut bars/tie bars anyway
the h22 overall weighs like 50 pounds more than the typical b series

the easier/cheaper etc is why I said not sure...

I'm actually in the process of getting everything to do an all motor H22 CRX
