Default Door will unlock but not open

First off, I have done a search of this topic and everything I found required the door to be open in order to fix the problem.

About 2 weeks ago I locked my doors (power locks) and closed the driver-side door. About 2 hours later I went to get in my car and unlocked it with the key. It unlocked fine, but the door wouldn't open, I then went through the passenger side to try and open it from inside, wouldn't budge. I called AAA to open the door so I could take off the panel and assess the problem, they couldn't do anything. The guy said that he couldn't pop the latch with a slimjim.

What should I do? kinda getting sick of driving my sisters car

the rod that connects the door handle to the actual mechanism is probably broken/out of place. to get to it you will have to remove the door panel but how you are going to do that withought opening the door... i have no idea.

yeah i dont think its possible to remove the door panel with the door closed. if that guy can jimmy it open, do that. and then pull the door panel and inspect the latch mechanism and the linkage going to the handle/s

Only thing I can think of at the moment, is remove the Door Switch Panel and see if you can put some light in there as see anything...

If you can, you might could possible finagle a cloths hanger in and possibly somehow pull the door rod and open the door...

But first, take the switch panel off and see if you can see anything.

You could also try taking off the little cup on the armrest that's on the door
panel. It's held in by one phillips screwdriver.

In the past when I have had to get someones door open after some one "slim jimmed" it what I did was to lower the window then manipulate the rods to the latch by going between the door glass and the weather stripping.

Take it to a locksmith shop. They should be able to get your door open and fix whatever is wrong with it.

same thing happened to my car.
to be honest, the only thing you can do is to try your best to get the panel off without breaking it, then airhammer the latch until it breaks off. door should open then, and you'll have to replace the striker and probably the actuator.

i had a co-worker (at the honda dealership) do it, because i didn't trust myself with the door panel thing.. and didn't have an airhammer.
