i need some info on how to fix a somewhat rashed bumper..how do i fix the gouges and scratches?

 

I would DA the whole thing down with 80, 180, then 320. Then prime, sand, and paint.

 

DA? after the 320 can i use a little bondo to fix the imperfections that are still there?

 

A d/a is an air powered sander.

No, do not use bondo on a urethane bumper. You need to use a flexible urethane filler,or a urethane repair two part epoxy that you can shape to form. If your trying to fix the RASH on the bumper from say scraping something, the two part epoxy repair is the best solution. you need to sand the plastic. use a certain spray chemical to remove the oils, than mix your two part repair and just lay it on, after that you can sand it down and shape it how you want it. than you need to prime the hell out of it. Using bondo on urethane will crack in a matter of days, a matter of hours if you are too rough on it.

 

A Urethane based primer will also work. Just make sure that you use a flex additive when you paint the bumper.

 

can i get the flexible urethane from checkers or a napa?

 

well at the typical harward store you just get that cheap bondo go to a autobody shop to get the flex stuff i had bought one and it cost me 30 bucks
