Default Picked up a 99 Si today...

Well, I finally replaced my EJ2 with a 99 Electron Blue Pearl EM1 today. It has 69,500 on the clock and its 100% unmolested. As I was detailing the engine bay, I saw that the strut tower bar and the spark plug cover were painted EBP as well. I was wondering if that is a Honda option because I've never seen that before. Here is a picture to show you what I'm talking about. Thanks guys.

I've never seen that done from the factory, but it looks good.

Valve Cover looks all chipped up though.

I bet it was a modified car that was returned to stock before you bought it!

Yeah, I Googled 1999 Civic Si and I found 3 other cars that have the exact same thing as this.

Just wondering, does anyone know what they are talking about on this site any more or do they just talk out of their ***?

Those parts were painted by the owner, plain and simple.

OMG...I see rust. You should check your bolts on the A-arms and see if their stuck yet. I recommend you put some Anti-seize on the suspension bolts to prevent them from seizing.

Do a compression check to see how health your motor is since it looks like it's being modded.

looks like the car was parked in the swamp. You got alot of cleaning to do... I suggest you start taking **** apart and getting rid of rust while you still can.

That is true that engine bay looks worse than mine and my car has 147,000 miles on it.
