Default Kakimoto GT1.0Z SS catback for ITR?

Anyone have more information on this baby? I saw a few pictures posted here before and I LIKE it a lot.

What's the piping size? I assume it is 60mm? Is there any bottleneck in this exhaust?

How much is it? I saw the price on the website, but is there a better hook up price?

Any more pictures of it on the ITR?

i have this on my wrx. boy it is sooo good! there are no bottlenecks. i dunno how it is for itrs, but im sure its the same. its all straight through, no resonators, all 1 piece bpipe. the muffler and flange for the cat connect with brackets, not welded. oh and the muffler is a work of art, the welds are so clean. i would say get it. http://www.boomplustoys.net theyre the sole north american distributor. our shop gets the exhaust from them

The piping is 60mm, and there is no bottleneck in it. There is only 1 flange in this exhaust, the cat flange.

The GT1.0Z for ITR looked similar to the one on the WRX, but the tip is smaller. Also, the one for ITR have a resonator.

I will post more picture when I have a chance.

I will go take more pictures when I have a chance. Here is one picture that I found, but it was taken during test fitting the prototype.

Will the GT1.0Z bolt right up to a JDM header and a carsound cat? Or will there be fitment issues with the length ofthe catback?

I believe Kakimoto is now making them in US lengths so no problem anymore with the length. Beautiful exhausts. I have their titanium version of the GT1 and I LOVE it.

The are quite a few of these running around town, but most of them are on 97 spec rear bumpers.

The current ones being offered in North America now are JDM spec ones. They will bolt up with the JDM Spec header with a JDM Cat / test pipe. For the carsound cat though, the mid pipe needs to be shortened or the cat needs to be shortened.

USDM ones does not have a released date, but probably sometimes around the Sema Show.

That guy needs to paint his rear bumper. The parts that should be black, are white.

How much for the Ti version? No resonators and under axle piping sounds nice.

There is no Ti version of GT1.0Z for ITR yet, and the GT1.0Z for ITR has a resonator and it is over the axle. So it would be much more streetable. Also, a silencer is also available too.

It will fit with JDM header and carsound cat if you get the carsound cat that design for the GSR!!

As for the bumper, it is up to what the customer want!!

Oh.

In other words, it's completely devoid of the things that made it different and worthwhile.

Except for quality and being lightweight...

I know, but how many ITR owner would actually buy an Ti exhaust that have no resonator and go under the axle? Not too many I would guess.

May be there just aren't that many serious ITR race cars in Japan when compare to the EVO, Skyline, and WRX!!

I wouldn't buy it if an exhaust doesn't have a resonator and go under the axle. Power gain is nice, but bottom out on it everyday and get pull over everyday is NOT.

The only thing is closest to the 3" exhaust from Kakimoto for ITR is the 70mm Kakimoto R catback.
