Most competition cars are using custom cages. Some alternatives on a a budget are Autopower or Kirk Racing.

What do you intend to use the car for? If this is a street car, then you are building a death trap by putting a cage in it. If this is for a dedicated track car, then custom is the only way to go. But if you are building a car for Hot Import Nights, then look for anything with stickers on it.

good thread. I've started looking into cages for hpde. Anyone have cages that are bolt in and bolt in to the rear strut tower bars/ where the rear suspension mounts?

I would suggest a kirk racing or autopower; I have the kirk racing 6pt in my car (not shown in pics)

autopower:

I think this is Reza's car

custom 8 here also. If you're racing your car competitively a good cage is a must have.

you'd be suprised what crap cage designes people are racing with. mine's no gem, but its nice and simple. i've seen 'high dollar' cars with 'custom' cages that need to be cut out and re-done. but they work and the cars run well reguardless of cage design, bolt in, weld in, ect
