Default make my exhaust quiter?

is there a way to make my exhaust not so damn loud, i keep getting pulled over for it being "too" loud and im trying to get out of the ricey stage of my life. it's a custom borlha exhaust and im not sure how it's done up (meaning i don't know what was added/pulled out) im not even sure which model it is. anything i can do without getting rid of the exhaust because i love the fact that no one else has it and i want to keep a slight performance sound to it.

i know it has a cat, how much would a resonator run me? me being as stupid as i am and new to working on my car would it be impossibly difficult for me to put it on, with just a jack?

Get a shop to do it. Exhaust clamps blow.

Should be around or less then $100.

100 bucks for the whole deal including most shops or 100 for just the part?

$100 all in.
A resonator should only be $20-30 and then around another $30 for labor I'd assume.

Definately put in a resonator or two, and it should quiet it down. Goodluck!

Try to get a resonator off of a Mitsubishi Eclipse. I'm pretty sure that the ones on there on the late 90's models are 2.5 inch and they can quiet your ride down alot.

I just put a Magnaflow resonator on my 2000 integra to quiet it down and take some of the raspy noise away. It worked perfect. I paid $58 shipped and $25 to have it installed.

You'll have to get up under your car and measure to see which size one you need.

Just go to to the shop and put a resonator. They will put on the right one.

yeah, as everyone has stated...adding a resonator or finding a new axle back muffler will fix your problems. I know when my exhaust sounded like yours years back, I went to Kragen/Autozone/etc and bought one of those cherry bomb glass packs.....its pretty cheap. Bring it to a muffler shop and have them weld it onto your b-pipe...should eliminate some of the raspy-ness..

Of course I painted mine silver once it was all put on.....

Resonators. And it would probably help if you got rid of those tail lights too.
