Don't know about Spoolin Performance traction bars but I have a Full-Race traction bar and it's just a great product. Full-Race does have traction bar sales until Jan 4th, check it out.

we haven't had any issues with our bars on any cars . We use US Made chromoly tubing, us made steel/laser cut 1/4 end plates and through hold design tabs. Our bars are 6061 billet radius rod bars that have been hard anodized. Along side the quality radius arms, we use high quality heim joins are teflon lined and have a very long use life.

We do not design chassis parts here in house. we purchased the design and jig from a well known fabricator that was once highly sought after here on honda-tech. Since then he's moved onto fabricate cages/suspension for drift vehicles, time attack/road race and offroad sandrails.

full-race has an excellent product on their hands, top notch customer service and failsafe design, welds and hardcore racer approved backing.

we have many locals who use our bar whom although may not be as infamous as FR users in the national arena, many of my customers are well known *street* racers in our half of California whom have pulled excellent track records/numbers as well and these particular vehicles are daily driven without a problem.

enough said.

its a personal choice which company to go with, I assure you that you cannot go wrong with either brand. both are top notch companies, although you could say im very biased

full-race services to higher end honda customers
Spoolin Performance has always took the initiative to service middle end customers

is there really that noticeable a decrease in the annoying second gear wheelhop/tire chatter?

Big difference just make sure you bring it to an alignment shop and that when they tighten it that it has the same amount of caster on both sides.

I'm kinda mad because the right side of my car has 2.7 and the the left has 2.5 so my car pulls to the right.

It did eliminate wheelhop though which in turn saves axles and causes less stress on your transmission. Worth the money imo..

itll pretty much eliminate it . the beauty of traction bars is the effects on street tires where wheel hop and chatter is more evident. With some good slicks. most cars will often times not have any issues with wheel hop or chatter because of the bias ply tire design and the softness of the compound/sidewalls absorbs most of the shock to the tire.

What is the recommended amount of caster to try to get out of these the alignment shop got +2.5 caster on both sides of my DC4 integra was wondering if I should be trying to get more out of them.

Not necessarily.

Go with the product that you think is best engineered.

hmmm, actually Geoff has been a memeber since may 2001. So since you are going by seniority around here Geoff and Full race should get the vote.

I have never used the spoolin bar so i cant comment on it. I have used the full race bars many times and i run them on on my car. It deff think they are a good reason as to why my car has gone a 1.53 60' on the small tire and a 1.52 on the 26" SO FAR.

Lets go Geoff, get me those new ones so i can go 1.4's next season

If Miller's 60ft's don't give enough proof of why the Full-Race Traction bars are the way to go then I don't know what else would. No need for those crazy torsion bars that some SFWD drive guys use, not to knock their efforts and results. But just a simple well designed and engineered Traction Bar will get the job done. "Just cause it looks the same doesn't mean it is"

well i dont want to start anything saying why i chose either one, but all in all, the bars are almost identical. the SP is within the correct geometry, which as long as it is, the only real difference may be the adjusting of the torsion bars...since im not 100% on how the SP one adjusts...other than that, the main difference is the price.

I am the head engineer and founder of Full-Race, 12 years ago I became the first to invent a traction bar for Honda civics/integras - this is how Full-Race got its start. There was nothing else out there... since then we've made over 20 different design traction bars. As a result we have had more experience designing and building Honda traction bars than any other company in the world. Also, we are one of the only shops in the industry that employes actual degreed mechanical engineers. This education allows us to properly engineer parts and anticipate possible deformation flex issues ie:

We have built thousands of traction bars, and have never had a single bar fail. Not one. We've even had customers who totalled their cars in bad accidents tell us that our traction bar is the only thing that kept the front end of their car from being completely destroyed, and in one case thinks it saved his life after hitting a pole head-on at speed

Our bars have proven themselves time and time again to be the highest quality, strongest and best performing traction setup for a fwd honda. We have broken more records on the drag strip and road course with our design, and have thousands of people daily driving on them with out any problems. Full-Race traction bars (just like everything else we mfg) come with a lifetime warranty. If you do a search on honda-tech im sure you will find many many very satisfied users of our bars. Last but not least, ASU (arizona state university) uses our traction bar design and mfg process as a basis for one of their classes. The professor was so impressed and views this as the perfect design and the perfect mfg process, so they teach it to the students as an example to base their projects around.

if you are looking to get a killer deal on a traction bar, we are having our once a year holiday sale. It is a great opportunity to get a killer deal on a set of traction bars or anything else you may need from full-race. We only have this sale once a year, and it starts now and goes on until christmas.

thanks for reading

the new design wont be available until march, and it will be a drag race ONLY design (not for street or road race/auto-x) but i think it will do the trick for 1.4 60 foot...
