Default Ebay Turbo Kit

check this kit out? is it worth it to get the $1000 kit, or just save up and get a $3000 kit from full race, or revhard...

my concern was the turbo would be too big, more lag... give me some feed back!

I personally would save for something like the DRAG kit. especially since there's a DRAG kit specifically for the B18C in a CRX that lets you keep a/c all the hassle and time wasted on a kit like that isn't worth it, especially if you have problems with the turbo or something major. just my 2 cents.

I bought the ssac kit off ebay and got ripped off hard core! the down pipe was wrong so I sent that back along with the waste gate and charge pipe and the **** sucker never sent me the right parts!

Ebay wouldnt refund my money becuase the guy was giving me the run around and it went past my 60 days to file a dispute.

never even got the chance to put it on my car. I ended up selling it and taking about a $300 loss.

Not to mention I heard these turbo's are junk and start leaking if you boost to much.

If your gonna go boost, do it right. Dont buy garbage to put on your motor and expect it to run right.

first auction for an ebay turbo kit i've ever seen that tells you what you're going to need to finish the "turbo kit".. ebay turbos are junk. success with intercoolers and piping is pretty good as far as i've seen. they're starting to sell those parts with a turbonetics included. but like everyone else said, save your money for a drag kit.

save your money .. youll just end up spending more money later on and wish you got a nice kit to start out with

youll for sure end up modifying that downpipe. intercooler piping. dumptube

its as if someone at the factory said " ok .. a turbo kit needs a downpipe.. we have something here on shelf we make for a customer thats called downpipe. ok throw that in the box .. intercooler piping.. that looks like these ! ok they look similar, put them in a box.. "

Nice, I planing to buy a turbo kit for a CRX. Reading this I decide to delete all ebay turbo kits that I'm watching.
I'll install a Drag Kit. I hope find here support for the installation. Is this the kit? http://www.dragturbokits.com/

All I've got to say is, you'll end up spending more money trying to keep a trash ebay turbo kit reliable than you will buying an AFI kit or Drag etc.

I've watched several of the ebay turbo kits in my day go out, and the turbos they give you aren't even turbos, they're fake little chinese made ones.

Get something good the first time because when this setup breaks, you're going to be back at square one with $1000 less to spend on a good setup. If you can't afford more than that right now, wait until you can.

That kit is of higher quality than typical eBay kits, but still grossly insufficient to be worth it. You will spend more than a full race kit costs just trying to get it to work, and even if it does, it will still break. Trust me on this one, I've been there. Take your $1000 and start buying quality turbo setup components. Apparently that manifold is for K swaps anyway

i think you would be alot better off buying quality componets individually new/used or save for a better kit

Though you will always be better off buying better parts, there have been many people who run these kits without problems.

Read up on turbod16.com about them - good and bad.
