I have a b16 in my 95 civi, I was driving home last night and i noticed in 5th gear that when I got to about 4k the motor was still widing up but I was actually slowing down a little bit. It's not just me being crazy its just hard to describe. So I either drive really slow or fast. I have to downshift to go up most hills as well. My throttle response is still the same and if I floor it, she takes off no problem so I'm clueless. any ideas? also recently Ive replaced the fuel filter, and spark plugs, and im not throwing any codes.

 

it sounds like its choking up a little bit. what kind of intake do u have. filter might b clogged. its not going to be your ignition because that usually sluggish then it picks up.

I did just put a new filter on the intake that could be it ill switch it back and try it out

 

if ur tps was off it would malfunction at all times not only at certain rpms. so what did changing the filter back do?
