spun car and didn't know where to look
i resently spun at an autocross (first time spinning big in 3 years.) i was looking out my side window(now facing foward) but looking back, i'm wondering if i should have been maybe looking out the windshield so that i wouldn't get disorented. not like there is anything i could so while he car is spinning but put 2 feet in. any feedback would be appreciated.

That's all I can do too is just "both feet in" and get the car to a controlled stop. I think I did keep my eye on the cone that I spun infront of though to get my bearings straight.
Never thought about where I *should* look. I rotate my head to see where I'm spinning and what I'm spinning into. I'd feel too out of control looking straight ahead (which, of course, will probably be the right answer
).

the couple of times i spun at the track i looked straight ahead. Really by that point i think it's kind of moot because once you spin you're just along for the ride.

hhmmm. sounds like it pritty much doesn't matter where u look. watch to see where ur headed as to not me suprised if u bump something and so u know where u went and how to get back on track. but thats about all u can do. thanks for the feed back everyone.

Yeah, look where you want to go. The hands, and likewise the car, usually follow. Look through whatever window you have to in order to look where you want to go.
What Matt said. I learned something else from his associate Krshultz when he rode in my car for a run at an autox. He pointed out that I need pretend the A-pillars aren't there, and just rotate my head and look out the windshield AND side-windows to look ahead through tight turns and turnarounds. There have been a lot of instances where I've "looked" out the window and still been able to easily figure out which direction I'm going even when I've lost it.
Or for that matter, PseudoRealityX has seen me pull the biggest tankslapper on earth through a slalom and still know which way I was going, lol.
