TC's blow thats why your Si feels so much better. Your Si is a far better machine from the factory. I dont know how to tell if you have HFP suspension, but im guessing if you called honda and asked for help Im sure they'd be happy to tell you what to look for.

The HFP setup will sit slightly lower than the OE setup. Check it out.

The HFP is larger and has 3 "coils" while the OEM has 4. There's one difference. I'm the tag could tell you more too.

I think you should look at the part numbers on you suspension components and then call honda and get the HFP numbers.

If you try to compare at the dealer it might be tricky since the difference is only about 3/4".

I have the HFP and measured a particular part of the frame before and after the installation to get those numbers. I did it myself and because I couldn't get good info on the net or forums as to how much lower the HFP was..

HFP is a good balance of quality and performance, it doesn't jar the car around and it's a bit stiffer. And it's honda so it fits perfect and you have the attachment parts for the brake lines which some others don't have.

Super stiff isn't always good. The loss of suspension travel on some other kits that have 2" drops can make performance suffer. I also added the Eibach sway bars.

so HFP suspension and eibach sway bars would be a good choice and investment for good suspension? thats what i was going to go with to begin with.

I have no complaints at all. With the HFP the springs and shocks were made for eachother so it's way better than just installing lowering springs. The damping gives great ride quality and what the kit lacks in stiffness (not that it's soft by anymeans) the Eibach sway bars help keep it level. Which in my opinion, makes for good roadholding and agility.

So HFP gives good ride, stiffer, but still maintains excellent suspension travel, and the sway bars gives you the flat cornering that an ultra stiff coil over set up would give you.

Is the HPF kit shocks and springs? If so, 600 bucks isn't bad at all!

Check the part sticker located at the bottom of the strut (assuming it's still there) or take it to the dealership if you're still uncertain:

08W60-SVB-100 2DR-SI
08W60-SNX-100 4DR-SI

Or you can compared your measurements to mine w/ HFP suspension (2DR-SI):

Fronts: 25.4"
Rears: 25.6"

Yup it is. I think that the HFP kit should have been the factory set up on the Si's.

what about HFP compared to the stock strut on eibach springs????...eibach pro kit is a good kit to go by...nut would not know how they compare against the HFP.......I plan to go with Eibach pro kit on OE struts will give decent drop for a DD and good handelling as well....HFP @ 599 is a bit steep and then what do you do with the OE set up...no one wnats to buy those.......where as an Eibach cost like only $200 for the springs and then you can DIY it and save some $$$$......my guess is the HFP is very close if not similar to a Eibach pro kit ride.....

I see OEM Si suspensions sell all of the time on H-T and 8thcivic. They are quite desirable to people with R18 Civics that want a better ride and don't won't to spend an arm and a leg. You're not gonna sell an OEM Si setup for $400 (the difference between HFP and Eibach) but you'll make some money back. Also, you have a warranty on the HFP kit that you don't get with the Eibach.

*I'm not bashing the Eibach kit; it's a great setup and I might go to it soon, but I needed to lay the facts out there.*

my friends bro has a 07 fa5 and he had the hfp suspension, wanted to go lower so he bought the sportlines and paired them with the STOCK shocks...not the HFP ones andit looked sooo nice...but within 2 months he put the hfp suspension back on. he said the ride was WAAAY too bumpy for his liking....just thought id share that.

as for me i have the hfp on my lx...i like the stance a lot...but i wish it was lower...maybe when there are more after market shocks out then ill change em out and put on some sportlines or prokit...but i will have the hfp for a while

This kit only lowers about 0.75", so it's not really going to make your car look any lower

ok well that does suck in a way cause id like it to look lower but id rather it just handle awesome. but some 18" wheels with a 40 series tire should fill the gap nicely with the HFP suspension correct?

HFP suspension + 18" Gp's. It fills the gap just sightly. I think this combo is perfect.
