can anyone confirm this diy bar?

how many ppl have done it? i was trying to gather items to do it today

+ good - no +- not sure

+-1" aluminum bar, is it suppose to be hollow?
-i couldnt find the bolts 12x1.25
+i got the washers
-the bronze spacers i found were mini tube cylinder shaped like and not like in the diagram

The way it is mounted in those pics you would have to remove it to access your spare. If you insist on doing it, try to move it back some and tap it yourself.

I would suggest taking everything u bought back and getting something that will actually do something for u. That particular design isnt' doing anything to keep your suspension geomety. It will do less for you than a rear strut bar which won't do much just buy itself. Good luck. If you do this it would be awesome to see some testing results before and after skidpad or something.

I think the rear-most trunk brace is pretty cool, but I don't think you'll notice a difference with the addition of either of them. A strut bar or similar isn't a necessity for any street driven Honda. It really does not factor into the suspension geometry much at all unless you are in autox or maybe road racing. In fact, I'm pretty sure that a lot of autox actually remove chassis stiffeners so the the car will flex more as they negotiate the tight corners of the course.
