Default power door locks and dome light not working

i have a 97 civic ex and the door lock and dome light doesnt work. the car has a after market radio. i have seen a few post about the stock radio been the problem. my question is did 97s come with keyless entry.

would it be easyer to get some after market door locks or is this a easy fix.

thank you for any help.

I dont think the dome light will ever work with the "door" option again. As for the keyless entry/door locks, I know my 96 came with power locks/keyless entry. I dont know if the door locks are related to the dome light/stereo inssue. Check the harness that come from the fender into the door. Alot of the times the wires will break off the pins, which will cause you to lose power to the locks, speakers, windows, etc. Oh and get an alarm with keyless entry.

true to extent^^^^ but unfortunantly (spelled wrong) ur mostly wrong,,,, well in the case of 96-00 civics anyway....... u must have the factory radio in order for the whole dome light thing like the previous poster dude said.... however dot comma the power door locks should still work!!!!! so still check the fuses,,...... if you want to store all factory options than you must wire and hide the factory radio in the car somewhere.... i have a 98 ej8 and had the same dilemma you had til i figured out what to do.... all i have to say is i hope you saved the factory/stock radio.............

your stock radio is where the reciever is for your keyless entry. make sure its still wired up. check your fuses first though
