Default new DC5

wat up HT.. just picked up an 04 type S in the end of august. Now im at the time where this baby is going to sleep for the winter and ill be driving my DA. I was wondering what kind of help you guys can give me because i want to go big with this thing for 09. Right now my main concerns are ill be getting d2 suspention to dump it and an HKS exhaust right away. I already got an Injen SRI. What kind of ideas do you guys have for me to go big for 09 exterior wise show me some pics if you can and performance wise. I want to stay away from boosting it for now but considering spray. Thanks guys!

ill keep pics updated with whatever i do!
parts i already have:
Injen sir
progress sway bar
sk2 lower controll arms
5 zeign extended lugs

Here's a suggestion...don't get D2 suspension.

Look through the FAQ if you really want to do things properly, suspension-wise.

And why not drive it for a little while before you decide to do something crazy with the motor.

Nothing personal, but your 'mod' list sounds like someone who listens to their friends and really doesn't have any idea what they want to do. I suggest looking through back topics and seeing what's been said about them.

d2 suspention was something that i was wondering about between tein ss or d2.. in a ct forum i talked to a kid that had d2 and loved it.. but you dont recomend it? as for crazy stuff to the motor im not really worried about it i was thnking of maybe pulling it off in the sprng who knows.. i dont really feel like dumping a grand into kpro yet either.. but thanks for the suggestion i guess im going to have to do a little more research on the D2

Yeah, read the FAQ links. D2 isn't great, and it isn't good at all on the RSX chassis. Very few suspensions are good on the RSX chassis, really.

If you just want a nice daily driver, look at the A-spec, Mugen SS or Tein S-Tech springs with good shocks.

Again, it's all in the FAQ.

I agree with what Todd said above... you really need to read up... also to add if you want to get coilovers I would suggest Buddy Club N+ or the TEIN... I am going for the Buddy Clubs and I am not lowering more then an 1.5" that is pretty much the limit!!!

Read up on the suspension!!!! its a must to do it right!!!

Do you have horsepower goals?

Do some a-spec lips or type-R lips. Nice set of wheels. A-spec wing.

Does it rain alot in your area? if it does then i suggest staying with the short ram intake i live in a desert where it rains like three days a year so i have a cold air on my DC5. and if your only looking to do some light modding for now then i wouldnt do anything more than intake header and exhaust without k-pro to tune.
STAY AWAY FROM SPRAY!!
and as for suspension quality suspensions really make a differance on our chassis so dont go cheap on that
hope this helps
