Default 2003 Honda Accord Radio does not work

I recently bought a 2003 honda accord the cd player works fine but the radio does not work on either the AM or FM. We have already checked the connection and nothing seems to be wrong. The sound I receive is just static. I would appreciate any ideas on possible ways to fix it. or if anyone has had this same problem. Thank you.

which connection have you checked, have you taken the radio out and made sure the antenna is connected?

Yes we have done that. We have traced it all the way from the radio to the back.

was it doing it from the very beginning when you bought the car? does it have tint on the back window? could be the radio itself.

Did you check that main fuse I told you about. I know on my 08 car that I pulled the TMPS/Traction control fuse so I could run without traction control, and since it was a combination fuse that had several systems on a single fuse unit(different fuses integrated in on unit) I had the misfortune of having a radio that turned on... but I could not hear anything. It probably controlled the amp

Yes, from the beginning the radio has not worked but the CD player works fine. When I switch to play radio FM or AM there is only static and in some you can hear just a little talk. As I said we have traced the connection from beginning to end and pulled the radio out and in. Yes, the back window is tinted.

Did your CD player work? in my situation the CD player and amp work fine. The problem is when I switch to Radio FM and AM where I only hear static.

IC... Well then my vote would be for a bad connection at the antenna and or ground wires

I think the antenna can break contact on the rear windshield. I would look for a gap in the windshield part. It could be right where the wire connects to the windshield.
