Just got my HID Kit hooked up!
I know most of you don't care, and probably have seen a million videos of HID Kits. But, I was really excited about them and thought I would share anyway.
I got a Xenon 8000K Kit offline. Works pretty well, satisfied so far. Kit was pretty inexpensive and was pretty easy to install. I did have to spread some prongs in the harness connectors to make it plug in right, then it worked great. For those people who are interested in buying the kit from xenonhidworlds.com then this is it and here is what it looks like.

Don't see what is wrong with them. Are they illegal?I think it is a nice look. Just like the owners of the RX7's, WRX's even trucks get HID kits on them. Heck a lot of the euro cars have those strong lights. Why are they bad?
You don't see whats wrong with them, they are bright as hell. my buddy has some on his 08 camry and everytime he is on the road at night, every car thats coming from the opposite side would flip on their high beam thinking that he has his high beam on.

I agree they are bright but can't the angle be adjusted? I mean I am right behind every other driver that hates being blinded.I would think an appropriate adjustment can be made.
also people buy these direct fit plug n play hid kits and fail to notice that you supposed to change your headlight fuses from 10amp to 20amp. ive seen a bunch of people buy the kits, not put 20amp fuses in and within a month they burn out.
Thanks. I am not looking to get them but i would like to see MUCH better. Being lowered, my lights don't really light up the road.
your stock headlights do have adjustments, being that your car is lowered you could adjust them higher to compensate. i used to pull up to a garage door or a wall that would show where the light was shining and adjust them both till they were at the proper height again

So once again, let me dig into my stash'o'pics for some HID comparisons.
Here is my car with old HID kit in stock halogen projectors. Note that this is a 4300K kit. 8000K would put much less light on the ground!! Notice the narrow beam pattern and massive hot spots directly in front of the car that aren't good for anything:

And now here is my friend's 2002 S2000 right next to my car. Notice how much brighter the fence is, and much wider and even the light is on the ground. Don't mind the mis-alignment, we adjusted his headlights shortly after:

And now here is my car with Hella bi-xenon projectors and 4300K bulbs. Notice how much wider and even the light is on the ground. Yes there is some light on the ceiling, but oncoming traffic never sees the lights from that angle, so that is a non-issue.

HID kits = crap, in any form, in almost any headlight.
HID retrofit is where it's at.
The one notable exception I know of is H7 Valeo projectors used on the B5 and some B6 Audi A4's and maybe a few other european cars. You can buy OEM HID components (D2S bulbs, Hella gen4 slim ballasts and ignitors), and with a simple aluminum adapter ring, the bulbs fit in the H7 projectors perfectly, and the cutoff and beam output is actually quite good. I wouldn't really consider that a kit, but it is probably one of the only halogen projectors that works well with HID.
I feel sorry for some of you e thugs.
To the people who actually care, the light was only that glaring on the camera. The light actually shines well on the road, I let my brother drive the car coming at me while I was in his truck and I didn't get much road glare at all.
For the guy who said I was a ricer because I didn't get a pic of the light on the road....WTF? Maybe there was no road in front of me there. I guess if I showed you what the trees and a fence look like, I would be cool then huh. I guess if ricers now days put all oem body parts on the cars, actually take care of them, and want to put an HID kit on their car to help see better then I am a ricer. No way shape form or fashion there little man, I pity you.
Anyways, I didn't have time to get a real good video of them. I will get another video tonight when I have time and I will show you how it lights up the road. Maybe then, I might could be cool like some of you guys.

Yep, the instructions say if you have a fuse for each headlight then they should be 20 amps a piece. If you have just one fuse, it should be a 30 amp. I made sure to change mine.
That is a great way to start an electrical fire. The headlight circuit is designed for 10A, so you are just taking out the safeguard that prevents it from frying things when overloaded. A relay is the proper way to power a ballast if you are going to use the stock headlight circuit.

Look at the difference between the useless glare video you posted and the pictures PatrickGSR94 posted.
Uhhh OEM HID's are 4300K, in ALL applications, and most OEM HID these days use HID projector housings to minimize glare. I had a 4300K HID kit in my stock halogen projectors, and it was pure crap compared to OEM HID projectors.

Guess I am looking for an OEM HID retrofit? Can you point me in the right direction?
