I have a 1993 civic hatchback cx. I have an alarm on my car that has actuators to lock and unlock the door with a remote. they have been working fine for 3 years now when i bought the car like that. both the passenger and driver inside manual door locks have broke so i cant unlock/lock the doors that way. every time i close my door on the driver side, i can open it back up when the car is locked or unlocked. the only way i have found to open the door is stick the key in the keyhole and turn it to the right and hold it there while pull the lever to open the door. ALSO, my car locks and unlocks when you start and turn off the car. if i try and open the door as soon as i turn off the car and the alarm unlocks the door, i can open it but if i wait even a second after it unlocks, i cant open it. any ideas WTF is going on?

 

Mine does the same think when you turn the car off. When you turn the car off it unlocks and when you start it it locks. As far as not being able to open your doors.....I would check the actuators. Sometimes they get loose and youll have to tighten up the alan screws on them. I normally do that about once a year just to make sure they work properly.
