Default SI v/s LX suspension ???

hi guys,

can some one tell me the difference between the 2 suspension setups???? I have an LX and was playing with the idea of switiching it with an SI set up...any issues here???? will the Si setup give me any kind of drop???....or is it just a little stiffer?????

any and all inputs are welcome....

or any pointers to threads covering this is also good.

thankx

You'd probably benefit more from adding a HFP package to your current setup.

does the SI/HFP setup give me any kind of drop....well what I am debating is whether to go with the Ebiach pro kit setp as I have good experience with these...but if I can get the similar kind of improvemnet with teh SI set up I will be happy as the Si setups are very cheap to find used....plus it is less laborous to replace and assembled shoklc then to go through the entire routine of dismantelling the springs and reinstalling them

SI, I don't believe so.

HFP is a slight drop.

If you want significant gains, go with Eibach.

Don't forget about the sway bars. They play a vital part in handling as well. The LX sway bar setup is thinner than the Si setup.

Were you actually looking at improving your handling or just lowering the car?

And YES there is a pretty good difference in performance between the two cars.

There is a difference in performance. Every aspect in terms of handling, acceleration, braking is better than the lx (stock vs. stock).

^I was thinking the same thing. For a guru, you really don't much about this civic at all. But I guess you have to start somewhere.

k5...u r right.....start some where...it was spur of the moment that I picked up that ID.....Rico...yes I am looking a bit of both Performance and handelling with out going the coil over way.....I have already ordered the SI sway bars......I installed the Eibach pro kit on my 98 acura cl and was very happy with the drop and handelling....for a DD the drop and performance was the best with the Eibach pro kit.....so I guess I will go with that and the stock struts will siffice for the pro kit so less $$$ spend........wanted top avoid the install and unistall of the springs as the stock SI set up is going for like $150 on ebay.....so kind of got greedy........
