Default 07 civic si parts in 88 crx si

Okay, so my beloved 2007 Civic Si is going away...

Due to financial reasons, I gotta get rid of it...BUT...not without taking whatever I can from it first and putting into my CRX!

So I plan on taking the Si front seats and seat brackets, Si floor mats (not sure if they'll even fit), Si emblem (both front and back one), and my 18" rims and tires. I'm hoping that all of these things can fit into the CRX. Can anyone confirm this?

Does anyone know if there's anything else in my Civic Si that can possibly be taken and added to my CRX?

Also, if I take the Civic Si seats, I'm going to have to replace them with some other seats. Do you guys think the CRX seats might fit in the civic (I know, it sounds insane LOL)

Oh, and I can't take out the engine, so don't even ask. I'm not junking the car, I'm returning it to creditors, so I can't give it to them as an empty shell...

Thanks, appreciate the help!

They're both Si's, everything will swap right over.

x2
Also, how exactly are you going to take the parts and sell it or whatever you are doing with it? Planning on reporting it stolen and taking the parts?
EDIT: Hurrr, just re-read it....

i don't mean to be an *** but this is why i think people should pay off there cars before they do mods/rims unless they can afford it.I've seen this too often best of luck.

just return the car as it is. youre asking for a huge amount of trouble if you start pulling parts off the car. and i can't imagine they would hesitate for a second to charge you for the parts missing.

How many parts do you believe are going to swap right in from your 08 civic to your 20 something year old CRX. Sheesh.

You're right. Unfortunately, I just had a son and that changed everything.

All parts that are taken will obviously be replaced with other parts. Wheels for steelies, seats for some other racing seats I have in the garage.

I already got permission from the creditors. They say as long as the car has it's essentials (seats, steering wheel, engine, no missing walls or roof or windows), then the rest is up to me to take or do what I want with it. Basically whatever I take must be replaced (like seats). Things like mudflaps won't have to be replaced.

This isn't a scam, and I'm not screwing anyone over. The creditors are fully aware of what I'm doing, and I thought it could be a fun little project.

Well, I'm not expecting everything to be "plug and play". I was just wondering what would look cool from a Civic Si inside of my CRX? Even if it requires some slight modifications.

This topic slowly going south =\ . Thanks for the input guys! I really appreciate it.

Are you absolutely sure about this? Do they realize you are replacing these things with non-Si parts?

So, by this theory they would be okay with you taking out the motor and swapping an R18 in it? I don't know man, I would be careful.

The seats you would have to change the seat pans, rims you'll need a 5 lug conversion, so you will have to mod stuff.

Yeah, I'm sure. I can't swap the engine. I believe the reason they're so okay with it is because I owe WAY LESS on the car than it's worth. So in other words, I've payed enough of the car off to "earn" the things that I'm taking out of it.

Do you know if I can take the seat pans in the Civic and attach them to the CRX?

Also, will the 18" wheels even fit on the CRX?

One thing about your seat idea: Your 07 has airbags in the front seats. I'm not sure it would be ok with the finance company if you removed safety devices from the car.

As stated, you'll have to do a 5 lug conversion, and then if you can even fit the wheels under the CRX fenders, you're going to look like a ridiculous toy car and rub tires under any bump or turn.

what's the point of a thread that could potentially help convict you of fraud?

Did you not read earlier? I said that I got permission from the creditors. Where is the fraud in that? Besides, this really has nothing to do with my personal situation. It's more about swapping car parts.

I started this thread to talk about taking parts from one car and potentially add them to another. What is so wrong with that? I'm not understanding where all of this (seemingly pointless) negative feedback is coming from.
