Default 2003 ex front suspension noise

I have an 03ex with ~80k on it. It started making an odd almost klunking when it hits a pot hole.
The noise seems to be louder and worse sounding if i am also turning.
Noise appears ot be coming form the drivers side.
I wont be able to get under her until Saturday.
Any ideas ?
What should i be looking for besides checking the basics?

thanks
mark

jack the car up and inspect the steering rod end link, also check the upper spring seat (from under the fender) and check for a broken bearing

I was planing on checking all of those. Few more questions:

1) What is a compliance bushing?

2) HIghhat? I am thinking you mean the top of the spring perch but i am not sure.

thanks

Compliance bushing is on your lower control arm, on the front, it connects the control arm to the sub frame i believe

My money is on this. I see it daily, espically on 01-03's with that mileage.

Its the bushing for the lower control arm closest to the front of the vehicle. Theyre around $26 dollars each side, But they need to be pressed in and out. Normal R&R of this service is around $360.

pgpbubble - 100% correct the busing is shot so on when the suspension is completely maxed out the arm hits the fame thats the noise. The pass side is also on its way out. I was thinking it needs to be pressed out.
I am going to call around Monday and make a decision if i will pull it myself and have it pressed by a shop or just let them do it

thanks
