Default Need Fast Help. Backfiring and motor doesn't want to turn over.

Ok so, I have a d16z6 in my hatch and i just recently converted to obd1.

I bought the 88-91 CRX/Civic Si/Hf/Ex to d16z6/d15b http://rywire.com/store/8891-crxcivi...229e9c30ae0430 from Rywire and p28 from Phearable. I have stock Si engine harness and this conversion harness.

Prior to converting to obd1 I was using a stock a6 dizzy on my z6, but, the guy who I had purchased the car from only had the dizzy bolted up with 1 bolt, and the bolt housing thing on the dizzy was broken in half. So the dizzy was only held on by a washer.
I tired to do my cap and roter but ****ed up my dizzy so I decided to go obd1.

Anyways now that my car is converted to obd1 with a p28 it still doesn't want to start.
It back fires when I try to start the car and it feels very sluggish. My car has been sitting for a couple weeks so I tried using jumper cables because the battery is low.
When it trys to turn over it feels very sluggish, and it also back fires.

Could anyone help me out with this please?

Oh, and I don't have a 4wire o2 yet, so the plug on the Rywire conversion harness isn't being occupied, and my 1wire o2 is still running to the dizzy?

Also for some reason I have 2 wires coming out of my vtec solenoid. But the "2nd" wire looks to be like some DIY ****, iono.

you dont have to have a timing light, just make sure the cam gear arrows are facing each other and check your crank pully position also....but with the backfiring issue it sounds like a bad dizzy imo

I had #3 and #4 wires on backwards Woops, so it stoped the back firing. But now it still doesnt want to turn over.

Ok, so I found on the crank pully its a green arrow, that lines up to a line in the timing belt. and I see the 3 marks on the cam gear.. the 3 \ | / on the cam gear are as follows ( right / is almost facing completely UP and | is pointing left, so on and so forth )

and the green arrow on my crank pully is pointing almost completely down.

Is this right? or is my timing off? I have a helms i think or some manual but the wording on it isn't the easiest to understand.

Please help me!

So is that the only thing it could be is my timing? After converting to OBD-1 and replacing my dizzy and Rywire harness?

Hopefully its not a bad distributor, I got it form YLM. And it cranks.

Could it be a fuse or something?

You need to trouble shoot, step back to the basics first, what do we need for the car to run? Oxygen, compression of the oxygen and fuel source, and ignition source. You obviously should be sucking in air in the intake... Pinch the fuel line while someone turns the car to the ON position and the fuel pump pressurizes the fuel system, you should feel the pressure. Check your plugs, are they good, if so, check for spark from your spark plug wires. If that is good, check your compression. Also check to make sure you have the wires in the correct order, 1,3,4,2. That was my mistake.

If you need some help, feel free to PM me, if you aren't too far I don't mind lending you a hand for some lunch and some gas money.

Good luck!

Replied! Ty.

I bought the dizzy from a JDM junkyard. They said it's guarenteed to work.

maybe you flooded it with the wires wrong and fouled the plugs
