Default H22A4 Block Difference

Is there a difference in the block from an H22A4 automatic car, and a H22A4 manual car? Are the blocks the same for say a swap? I know with the H22A4 there is a base and SH model.

The only diff that you have to worry about is the transmission. And yes you can swap between the two. On H22A4 the only major diffs is if it is an SH and or Base. The SH has a slighly diff block nor does it come in a automatic (that is from what I have read here). I hope this helps....

So if the block was from an automatic, there is no way of using it for a 5spd car?

Yes you can swap it... The block doesn't matter. You can put just about any F or H series tranny on that block Manual or Auto

So there is no difference between an h22a4 block that came from an automatic, and one from a manual? Any parts that need to be changed if its an automatic and you are going to use it for a manual?

remove torque converter and drive plate and replace it with a flywheel and clutch. You will also need to change the half shaft to a manual one that is appropriate for your model.
